NOTIFICATION OF CONFIRMED COVID-19 CASE ON CAMPUS
August 27, 2020
Dear Parent/Guardian,
In keeping with Lingleville I.S.D.’s practices to respond to COVID-19, we are notifying all student families that a student who was lab-confirmed to have COVID-19 was present on the elementary campus on Monday, August 24, 2020. Due to privacy requirements, we will not be releasing the name of the individual or details that may identify him or her.
After careful review, we have determined that the COVID-positive person did not come into close contact with students or staff as defined by TEA and DSHS. Operations at L.I.S.D. will continue as usual, and we will keep you apprised of further updates.
Proper cleaning and disinfecting protocols have been in place and will continue to ensure the safety of all students and staff.
While we do not have reason to believe that those who were not in close contact with the infected individual have reason to be concerned, we ask that you, as always, watch for symptoms of COVID-19.
Have you recently begun experiencing any of the following in a way that is not normal for you?
• Temperature of 100.0 degrees Fahrenheit or higher or feeling feverish
• Loss of taste or smell
• Cough
• Difficulty Breathing
• Shortness of breath
• Fatigue
• Headache
• Chills
• Sore throat
• Congestion or runny nose
• Shaking or exaggerated shivering
• Significant muscle pain or ache

Sincerely,
Curtis Haley
